Teacher Aide - Complex Needs Unit

Cashmere High School has a fixed term part-time Teacher Aide position (8.45am to 2.45pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday-16.5 hours per week) in Te Pukenga our High and Complex Educational Needs unit assisting students that have a variety of physical, cognitive and emotional needs. 

We are looking for applicants with experience working one on one with students with diverse learning needs both in the mainstream environment as well as in transition programmes. 

This requires a high level of responsibility. 

Full training will be provided, and professional development opportunities will be available to the successful applicant.  This is a rewarding and challenging position joining a dedicated and experienced team of colleagues. 

- The hours of work are 8.45am – 2.45pm (16.5 hours per week) Monday, Wednesday and Friday (3 days per week), and are term time only. 

- This position is fixed-term for the 2026 school year. 28th January 2026 to 15th December 2026. 

- Remuneration will be Grade B-C Step 6 of the Support Staff Collective agreement which is currently $30.22.  A Tiaki allowance of $2.96 per hour will also be paid.
